Der Löwe und die Maus

The Theater in der Badewanne is showing "The Lion and the Mouse": a humorous story about courage, helpfulness and friendship, with music and shadow play. In the savannah, a lion and a clever mouse take on unexpected roles. The performance venue is the Theater in der Badewanne in Killesberg Park in Stuttgart.

Two mice discover a lion taking his afternoon nap. They tease him and get more and more exuberant until the lion grabs one of the mice. When he tries to eat it, the mouse engages him in conversation. With charm, wit and self-confidence, she persuades him to let her go. In return, she promises to help him if he gets into a jam. A lion in a jam!!!

On one of his forays, however, the lion actually kicks a thorn in his paw. He can't help himself and the paw gets thicker and thicker.

And that's when the mouse with the first aid kit appears on the scene ...

Delicious fun as the initially threatening lion becomes a needy and snivelling creature and the mouse, in his irrepressible desire to help, outgrows himself.

Enchanting music creates the atmosphere of the vast savannah. Giraffes, water buffaloes, herds of elephants, antelopes and rhinos also pass by in the shadow play ...
