The first gallery concert of the season features a reunion—and a chance to hear once again—the first-prize winner of the 2014 Stuttgart International Art of Song Competition! Twelve years ago, baritone Ludwig Mittelhammer and his duet partner Jonathan Ware won a spectacular first prize and are surely still fondly remembered by Stuttgart audiences.
Since the 2019–20 season, the charming Munich native has been a member of the ensemble at the Gärtnerplatztheater in his hometown; in 2025, he made his acclaimed debut at the Vienna State Opera as Papageno in Mozart’s *The Magic Flute*. So it’s high time that Ludwig Mittelhammer finally returns to Stuttgart with a song recital—this time accompanied by Brazilian pianist Marcelo Amaral.
