Double concert and aftershow party with: Die Alten... New-Wave from Reutlingen Herz Rhythmus Maschine - No Wave, Postpunk Aftershow party 'Take me Out' (Indie)

The Old Ones,

named after the cosmic gods (The Old Ones) in the stories of horror author H. P. Lovecraft, were a new wave band from Reutlingen and existed from 1982 to 1984.
In November 2013, after almost 30 years, the composers of Die Alten, Schilli and Schneller, decided to reactivate the band.
The tracks "Die Zeit", "Arbeit" and "Nachbarn" from 1984 were rearranged
and recorded with singer Kevin Kehoe.
Back in the line-up as a duo, the CDR "Motel" was released in 2018 and the cassette "Naturkundemuseum" in 2022. The video "Hau drauf" was also released.
Bernd C. (Booghk de Doo, Stragula) joined the line-up of "Der Alten" on electric drums in 2023.

Heart Rhythm Machine

We were together in Margini and three weeks later at the PIL concert.
At that time it was already clear that we would soon meet in the practice room.
The biggest problem was that none of us were drummers, but we wanted to have a loud, hard trio with lots of homemade noise and a dark, energetic sound.
What to do? Foxx, who was actually a singer and guitarist, finally said he would take over the drums. So he dropped out as singer for Herz Rhythmus Maschine. Latino, who owes his name to his childhood and youth in São Paulo, originally played bossa nova and Greek rembetiko stuff with a buddy from GBH, but had also spent many nights there playing hard and loud guitar sessions. He knew how to coax bitchy post-punk out of his Gibson.
He refused to sing Lupe's German lyrics on the grounds that he could never remember them in his life. So the singer's job went to Lupe. He had always been a decent bass player, but had never sung lead before.
So we were a band that belonged to the first punk and wave generation in terms of age, had already experienced a lot in music, loved the energy of those weird and broken 80s and in which everyone did something they had never done before in their lives.
It worked surprisingly well ...
