What is it about? The essence of love, the essence of women. Who could ever have understood what that is? It is obviously a life form from another planet and women themselves sometimes agree with this assessment. This makes it all the more urgent to listen to a woman who goes through all the highs and lows of her equally comic and tragic search for love in all its erotic and romantic varieties and allows us to participate in it without taboos.
The adaptation of Angelika Schrobsdorff's novel "Die Herren" for the theater gives us an open view into the inner world of a woman who, in Peter Staatsmann's production, becomes every woman. What we almost never get to hear is explored here sensitively and with unreserved openness
