Ella and her friends spend their vacation at the Birkenhof - a special place that takes in animals that nobody wants anymore. Kickers, Ella's beloved donkey mare, also lives here. The girls are looking forward to an exuberant farmyard vacation with Claudine and the animals, but then an injured chicken causes a stir. Who brought it? Did it come from Chicken Hugo's farm?
