Die Werkstatt der Schmetterlinge

Theater in der Badewanne presents the puppet show "Die Werkstatt der Schmetterlinge" based on the book by Gioconda Belli & Wolf Erlbruch. In a world in which all living creatures have yet to be invented, the young designer Rodolfo dreams of creating a creature that can fly like a bird and is as beautiful as a flower.

Loosely based on the children's book of the same name by Gioconda Belli, this puppet show tells the story of young Rodolfo, who, as the designer of all things, must first learn to create.

Rodolfo is one of many 'Shapers of All Things' whose task it is to imagine and realize every living being, every thing on earth with the greatest wisdom when the earth was still completely empty and grey. But Rodolfo's dream is to create a being that is like a bird and a flower at the same time.

But when Rodolfo and his friends are assigned to work in the not-so-popular insect workshop, he realizes his chance. The greatest success of the inventors in the insect workshop so far has been spiders - but this is about to change.
Rodolfo spins his new creature with thousands of designs and hours of nature studies.
A creature he wants to call a "butterfly".
