Ludwigsburg native Philipp Kitzberger is bringing singer-songwriter folk to the Laboratorium for the third time this year. But this time, many things sound different - lighter, more playful and even closer to the moment.

Different Paul present their songs 2026 in a more reduced and at the same time more detailed way - music that doesn't push, but invites. A concert full of the joy of playing, nuances and songs that invite you to listen, smile and reflect.
The songs have grown, have been given air and are presented in new arrangements. Instead of a classic drum kit, Mario Langisch brings along a fine arsenal of percussion: Spoons, bones, glockenspiel, washboard and udu - small sounds with a big impact that give the pieces movement and lightness. Fotios Savvidis on double bass provides earthy depth and a warm pulse, while Marco Zavaglia opens up new colors between folk and songwriter tradition with accordion and piano.
Their lyrics, mostly in English, combine quiet humor and thoughtfulness - observations of everyday life meet big questions, without pathos, but with an alert eye and subtle self-irony.
