DOMO EMIGRANTES, founded in 2009, are dedicated to the musical traditions of southern Italy and the Mediterranean region. Coming partly from southern Italy themselves, they combine their own musical traditions with energetic arrangements to create a rhythmically dense and captivating sound language.
Guitar, violin and percussion are joined by instruments with which ears and hearts
hearts travel to distant regions: the Kurdish saz, ethnic flutes, fujara,
bouzouki ... The emotional appeal of their music reaches and seduces a wide audience, not least those with a taste for the south and the Mediterranean coasts. To date, the ensemble has not only performed in theaters, clubs and at festivals in Italy, but also in France, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia,
Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Turkey and the USA.
