Comic presentation and discussion with Lewis Trondheim

Moderation: Stefan Dinter | Lewis Trondheim, winner of the Grand Prix de la Ville d'Angoulême, the most important European award for graphic literature, is a true comic force of nature with an almost unmanageable oeuvre and an influence on the French and international comic scene that can hardly be overestimated. Over the last three decades, he has created an oeuvre of over 200 graphic novels, albums, webcomics and illustrated books. As co-founder of the publishing house L'Association, he has published Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis, among others. The album series Mr. Rabbit has accompanied the 57-year-old comic artist since the early 1990s and exemplifies Trondheim's thematic and artistic range. Lewis Trondheim's protagonist Mr. Rabbit is a sometimes morally insensitive, slightly neurotic Parisian who has to overcome every conceivable pitfall of modern city life. At the City Library, Lewis Trondheim will talk about his career based on the hares from three decades.
