Ein Brausen vom Himmel – Vollendete Vokalmusik von Palestrina und Pärt

To mark the 100th anniversary of St. Fidelis, the celebrated a cappella vocal ensemble Singer Pur will be a guest at KLANGRAUM st.fidelis with its program "Ein Brausen vom Himmel".

The church of St. Fidelis in the west of Stuttgart is 100 years old this year and is celebrating this with various events on the first weekend in July. To mark this anniversary, the celebrated a cappella vocal ensemble Singer Pur will be performing on Friday, July 4, 2025. The six singers will bring together the moving and beguiling vocal music of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594) and Arvo Pärt (*1935) - settings of the biblical Song of Songs, imploring prayers to the Virgin Mary and heartfelt pleas for peace. Then the jubilant sounds of Pentecost from Palestrina's pen rise up like "a roar from heaven".
