Eine Reise durchs Opernhaus

The opening concert sets the mood for the season and this time is dominated by the world premiere of Die drei ???und das Spiegelkabinett( The Three ???and the Hall of Mirrors): as in a case involving the three detectives Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews, the audience embarks on an adventurous hunt through the opera house with the help of a camera. Some of the doors conceal well-known opera characters such as Musetta from La Bohème and Giorgio Germont from La traviata. The audience also encounters artists who provide insights into productions such as Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk and Der Rosenkavalier as well as the world premieres of Die drei ??? und das Spiegelkabinett and Atatürk . The ensemble members of the Stuttgart State Opera and the Stuttgart State Orchestra under the direction of Lin Liao will provide a musical foretaste of the season.
