Have you ever spent a summer alone on an island with your grandmother? No? Me neither. But the girl in my story has. They spend the summer together on an island that is just big enough for two. "Immersion" takes you back to this summer and its strangest, most wondrous and most frightening moments. What happens when you get older? When the old shoes no longer fit or the dentures no longer want to stay in your mouth? Nothing escapes the island's watchful eye.
