The exhibition "Sum of Detours" is based on the visual diaries that Anna Schlechter has created in the course of her artistic practice. In them, the artist pursues an intuitive working method and draws primarily on photographs from her archive from the past seven years.

The exhibition "Sum of Detours" is based on the visual diaries that Anna Schlechter has created in the course of her artistic practice. In them, the artist pursues an intuitive working method and draws primarily on photographs from her archive from the past seven years.
Driven by curiosity and the joy of experimentation, the books combine photography and collage with natural materials, colors and techniques. New pictorial contexts are created through superimpositions, material processing and different scales.
This exhibition is the first time that these
works, which previously existed mainly as books, have been transferred into a spatial form. Selected excerpts from the diaries as well as site-specific works are on display. The exhibition space itself thus becomes a kind of walk-in diary, a place where the process of collecting, discarding and reorganizing can be experienced.

A workshop accompanying the exhibition will take place on 09.06.
