Elles Bailey is an award-winning, critically acclaimed artist who seamlessly blends the worlds of Americana, rock and blues. These awards include: UK Song of the Year 2020 at the Americana Awards UK, Album of the Year 2020 and 2023 at the UK Blues Awards. Also Artist and Live Act of the Year 2023 at the Americana Awards UK, Female Vocalist of the Year 2023 at the UK Blues Awards and Female Artist of the Year 2020, 2021 and 2023 at the UK Blues Awards - a "triple win" that excluded her from any further wins in this category - which is why she was unceremoniously honored as "Female Vocalist of the Year" with the UK Blues Award this year - as well as her induction into the UK Blues Hall of Fame.

The tragic foundation for her extraordinary voice was laid at the age of three: due to pneumonia, she had to breathe through a tube for 17 days. The result was that her voice took on a hoarse, deep timbre. She came into contact with music through her father's record collection; it was mainly blues and rock'n'roll records from Chess Records. She began leading a local indie rock band before her love of blues and Americana led her to put together a touring band to match. Her debut EP "Who Am I to Me" (2015) was followed by the six-track collection "The Elberton Sessions" (2016). In 2017, she went to Nashville to record her debut album "Wildfire". Two years later, she returned to Nashville to record her second album "Road I Call Home". Her breakthrough followed with her third longplayer "Shining in the Half Light" and many of the awards mentioned above. After enduring the long consequences of corona[1]restrictions and was finally able to go on tour properly with this third album in 2023, she immediately set to work on the fourth album "Beneath the Neon Glow". Some 40 compositions, a writing trip to Nashville and a pleasantly uncomplicated recording session in Devon later, Bailey - supported in the studio by her fantastic live band - had produced her best album to date, which reached number 12 in the UK charts. And yet the productivity continued, and the next album with the programmatic title "Can't Take My Story Away" will be released this year. Because "while the last albums were always snapshots of the moment, we worked on the new album for over three years and took up songs that are sometimes over ten years old," she says. The content is about coming to terms with her imposter syndrome and an honest look at the person behind the artist. It has therefore become by far her most personal album to date.
