Elvis - The Musical
His look, his voice, his legendary hip swing: with a billion records sold, Elvis Presley is considered the greatest solo artist of all time. "ELVIS - The Musical", the world's most successful musical biography about the "King", is packed with all his great hits and a unique journey through the life of the rock'n'roll icon. He made his international breakthrough in 1956 with the single "Heartbreak Hotel" and his first LP "Elvis Presley" - his first big hit and the first rock'n'roll album to reach number one in the charts. 70 years later, this successful production brings Elvis back to the stage and will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland again in 2026.
Elvis Aaron Presley, born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, became the most important representative of rock and pop culture of the 20th century during the course of his incomparable career. The year 1956, with Presley's first hit single "Heartbreak Hotel" and his debut album "Elvis Presley", is considered the birth of the "King of Rock'n'Roll". Presley gave his last concert in June 1977 before officially passing away shortly afterwards on August 16 from a sudden cardiac arrest at his Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee. But his death is still surrounded by legends and myths that make Presley unforgotten to this day. For his fans, he is still alive - at least in their hearts.
An impressive tribute to the "King of Rock'n'Roll"
Emotional, powerful and rousing: in "ELVIS - The Musical", audiences can experience the idol of an entire generation up close at various stages of his life. From the first studio recording as a present for his mother, to the beginnings with Sam Philipps on the regional label Sun Records and the first single released, "That's All Right", in 1954, the switch to the national RCA label and the international breakthrough in 1956 with "Heartbreak Hotel", the debut album "Elvis Presley" and his manager "Colonel" Tom Parker through to the superlative concert "Aloha from Hawaii" in 1973 in the Honolulu International Center Arena, which was the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast via satellite to over 40 countries around the world and achieved a higher audience rating in the USA than the first moon landing a few years earlier.
The two-and-a-half-hour live spectacle has already thrilled over a million viewers, brings the magic of the rock'n'roll icon back to the stage and presents Elvis Presley's entire musical repertoire live - from gospel to blues to uninhibited rock'n'roll - and gives an impressive review of his life.
The "best Elvis performer since Elvis" and the seven-piece "Las Vegas Showband"
With Grahame Patrick, the tribute to the "King" has the "world's best Elvis performer since Elvis" in its ranks. When he steps into the spotlight in his world-famous white jumpsuit and other authentic outfits, you could be forgiven for thinking you were seeing Elvis Presley in the flesh on stage. Grahame Patrick also shines with an impressive vocal proximity to the original, which he proves time and again throughout the show.
He is accompanied by first-class singers, actors, showgirls and the seven-piece "Las Vegas Showband", who create an unforgettable musical experience - and of course all the hits are performed live: From "Love Me Tender" and "Jailhouse Rock" to "Suspicious Minds", but also gospel songs such as "Why me, Lord?" and "How Great Thou Art", whose live version in Memphis won a Grammy Award in 1974. Elaborate choreography, play scenes and original film sequences guide us through Elvis' life and round off the show spectacle wonderfully.
Companions and contemporary witnesses make the show unique
In addition to the outstanding protagonists, "ELVIS - The Musical" also gains its uniqueness from the inclusion of real contemporary witnesses and companions. Ed Enoch, leader of the legendary "The Stamps Quartet", toured with Elvis at over 1,000 concerts from 1971 to 1977 and sang at his funeral. He has appeared just as often on stage alongside Grahame Patrick in "ELVIS - The Musical". The Stamps Quartet is the oldest professional gospel quartet in the history of the United States that is still active. Ed Enoch will once again support the show live with his "Stamps" in 2026. Also included is original film and photo material from Elvis' former tour manager and concert photographer Ed Bonja (†). In addition to his Elvis photographs and recordings, he supported producer Bernhard Kurz with his insider knowledge during the creation of the musical.
