Eröffnung Stuttgart Hatırası

The exhibition "Stuttgart Hatırası" combines city and family history and invites you to intimate encounters about arriving, staying and living between two homes. Opening: 08.10.2025, StadtPalais.

The salon exhibition "Stuttgart Hatırası" presents personal photographs and stories of Turkish immigrants and their families. The pictures and texts show how city and family history are connected and document their constant change. People took souvenir photos of Stuttgart in the 1970s and 1980s in front of the fountains on Schlossplatz, the Berger Sprudler or in Bad Cannstatt's Kurpark.

"We came to Germany to work - we stayed to live," says Esin, who followed her husband from Istanbul to Stuttgart in 1973.
In the exhibition, visitors encounter the stories in intimate one-to-one encounters and learn from different generations about hope, suffering and happiness when arriving, staying and living between two homelands.

We would like to cordially invite you to the exhibition opening on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7 pm in the foyer of the StadtPalais. No registration required - first come, first served.
