Musical storytelling evening with the tandem Schengülüm.

Hamid Saneiy (Azerbaijan) weaves on the weaving frame and brings the fairy tales into shape with the frame drum, Silvia Freund (Austria) sings and narrates with Hamid in tandem. Two languages merge into a tapestry of sound, real life and stories complement each other.


Silvia Freund studied acting and Romance and German studies in Innsbruck and theater pedagogy at the UdK Berlin. She tells stories in the Berlin project ErzählZeit, is a lecturer in the association ErzählKunst e. V. and develops literature programs for families.


Hamid Saneiy, carpet weaver and musician, comes from Tabriz (Iran/East Azerbaijan) and has lived in Berlin for 25 years. He tells stories at festivals and in schools and organizes storytelling evenings with jam sessions on the subject of knot-tying and stories.


The musical tandem Schengülüm has existed since 2009 and the duo performs in schools, daycare centers and libraries as well as at storytelling festivals.
