While still on his MAGIC UNPLUGGED tour of almost 100 shows, one of Germany's most fascinating illusionists announces his new show, complete with taboo-breaking: In his new program GEISTESKRANK, FARID questions nothing less than everything we think we know about normality and also about madness.
The visionary magician sees GEISTESKRANK as more than just the word that offends, devalues and discriminates. In his new show, he confronts us with the question of whether we are not basically all somehow MENTALLY SICK.
Do we actually still live in a world that meets human needs? Or do we live in an unnatural, highly artificial environment that must make us mentally ill?
When we take a close look at what is actually normal or crazy, what is right and what is wrong, we discover new, amazing and yes, magical things through FARID!
FARID knows the term MENTALLY SICK all too well, as the question he is most often asked after his shows - sometimes without thinking - is: "Are you MENTALLY SICK?" The answer seems to be up in the air and yet offers a wealth of deeply moving material for his new work.
