Feuerbacher Straßendapp & Narrensause

The Feuerbacher Straßendapp is not a classic parade, but rather a relaxed carnival in the center of Feuerbach along Stuttgarter Straße and around the decorated weekly market at the historic wine press.

The street parade starts with the chime of the bell at 10:00 am in the middle of the old town in the churchyard of the Feuerbach town church of St. Mauritius (Walterstraße 11). From there, the colorful crowd of masked parade-goers parades with friendly guilds, the Gassafeger of the Narrenzunft, the First Guggenband Stuttgart and other music groups of different styles in a small procession down to the weekly market and through Stuttgarter Straße back to the wine press. Afterwards, the procession disperses and smaller groups play pranks on passers-by, true to the motto: "Everyone's joy - no one's sorrow!".
The Harmonika Orchester Feuerbach plays in Klagenfurter Straße and a barbecue stand at the Hirschbrunnen fountain offers food and drink from 10:00 to 14:00.

The jesters go into the stores and make jokes. More and more individual or clique-dressed carnival enthusiasts join in the jesters' hustle and bustle. At 12:00 noon, everyone gathers at the Hirschbrunnen fountain in Klagenfurter Straße for the highlight of the street carnival, where the bands present take turns to play a few pieces of music and carnival revellers perform songs and rhymes.

From 12:30 p.m., the participants parade in loose formation to the Narrensause in the large hall in the Bürgerhaus on the Roser-Areal. The music groups will once again bring the atmosphere to boiling point with a few songs. Freshly fortified with Swabian delicacies and certainly well warmed up, we spend the afternoon together with performances, dancing and music.
In the meantime, the Feuerbacher Straßendapp has become a fixed date in the fifth season and attracts audiences from Feuerbach and the neighboring villages.
