Concert with Thorsten Müller (bass) and Andrea Amann (piano) at the Hospitalhof Stuttgart.
Thorsten Müller (bass) and Andrea Amann (piano) perform "Die schöne Müllerin, Liederzyklus nach Gedichten von Wilhelm Müller" by Franz Schubert.
"All I have to say about Schubert is: make music, love and - shut up!" The musicologist Alfred Einstein sums up Schubert's music in this succinct and original formula. And Egon Friedell, music researcher and cultural journalist, wrote: "... since he [Schubert] entered humanity, it has only really known what a song is". Franz Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" is one of the most famous song cycles in music history and is the main topic of the written Abitur examination. The concert consists of two parts. In the first part, contributions from SWR2 music editor Eva Pobeschin will alternate with contributions from prospective high school graduates of the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium. In the second part, the song cycle "Die schöne Müllerin" can be heard in its entirety.
Duration: 140 minutes with interval.
Recommended for prospective high school graduates, but also for middle and high school students.
