This concert is based on the idea of sharing sound, vibration, words and music to touch people deep inside, in their souls. The intention therefore goes beyond simply making music. Fola Dada, the singer from Stuttgart, and Martin Meixner, the pianist and organist, also from Stuttgart, have set themselves this intention as their mission.
What if, for the moment of a concert, you could share a sense of well-being, relaxation, even love, and connect with others in a way that makes everyone feel good?
The two musicians choose songs from the broad spectrum of jazz and pop, but the odd gospel song also finds its place. The spoken word is also used, with Fola Dada reading inspiring texts in between.
This duo builds on a long musical friendship, which makes the interplay intimate and surprising at the same time, because "if you know and trust each other well, you can let go and go completely new ways" says Fola Dada.
The winner of the 2022 German Jazz Award is particularly looking forward to these concerts because they are so much more than just singing and playing the piano. It's more like immersing yourself in a very friendly atmosphere that leaves everyone feeling inspired.
