Alex Köberlein and his Rottweilers save the musical heritage of the Ländle. The Lab audience appreciates this and loves the band for it.
You always knew it: most of the great hits in pop history are stolen! And they are simply copied from originally Swabian songs from the last century. American and British occupying soldiers in particular helped themselves to the rich musical heritage of the Ländle. This resulted in global hits such as "Rebel Yell", "Locomotive Breath" and "Baker Street", while the originals from the Swabian underground were almost forgotten.
What then made history as cool English-language pop lyrics is actually just a poor translation of the Swabian original. For example, the clear statement "Mein Vaddr war 'n harda Hond" ("My dad was a harda Hond") was turned into the more sedate "Papa was a Rolling Stone".
We in the Ländle simply can't accept this any longer! It's high time for a correction and to save the honor of Swabian pop culture songs. And who could be better suited for this than Alex Köberlein, frontman of Schwoißfuaß and Grachmusikoff, who has been at the epicenter of the Swabian underground for decades? With his Rottweilers, he is now embarking on the biggest cultural rescue mission in Swabian pop history.
