Pensioner Libby Andersch is invited to the glamorous Palace Hotel in Gstaad with the Crime Club. The "British Weeks" are taking place there, and a jewelry collection from the British royal family is to be exhibited in the hotel. At the same time, a secret diplomatic meeting with the British Prime Minister is planned behind closed doors. And the crime club gets to solve an unsolved case from the 1980s, the robbery-murder of jewelry lover and artist's widow Nina Kandinsky.
But the entertaining detective game quickly turns bitterly serious when Libby Andersch witnesses a secret conversation. Someone is planning to steal the famous Victoria necklace. The disaster could still be prevented if the local police didn't just smile wearily at the pensioner. But the sharp-witted Libby Andersch is not to be discouraged and single-handedly sets out to track down the unknown thief.
GABRIELA KASPERSKI studied English and was a radio and television presenter, actress, speaker and lecturer before realizing her childhood dream of becoming a writer. Today, her crime novels reliably take the Swiss bestseller list by storm. Her books have received numerous awards and nominations, including the Swiss Crime Fiction Prize and the Zurich Crime Fiction Prize (2024). She lives with her family in Zurich.
