Showcase of new animated video games. The GameZone focuses on the five games nominated for the Animated Games Award Germany. With GameZone extended, the festival is expanding its view of the next generation of games and presenting student works. Guests can test all titles on site.

The five games nominated for the Animated Games Award Germany are the focus of the GameZone. Visitors can test all titles on site and gain a direct insight into the most exciting animated games from German studios - from atmospheric adventures to high-impact gaming experiences. Every year, the ITFS honors outstanding artistic creative achievements in the field of animated games with this competition.

With GameZone extended, the festival is expanding its focus to the next generation of games and animation creators. In cooperation with Stuttgart Media University (HdM), the Merz Akademie, the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, works by students and graduates will be presented, inviting visitors to try out, discover and be amazed. The exhibition is complemented by other interactive installations that can be tested free of charge.
