The event is considered the largest dance sport tournament in the world and attracts numerous dance couples from different nations every year. Stuttgart has been the venue for this internationally renowned competition since 2004.
Numerous tournaments for couples and individual dancers are held in three different halls (Stuttgart Liederhalle, Alte Reithalle). The competitions include Standard, Latin, Ten Dances, Boogie Woogie and Wheelchair Dance. The GOC brings together coaches and top dancers from all over the world and presents top-class dance sport in great variety. Wheelchair dance, boogie woogie and solo dance are just as much a part of the program as standard and latin dances in various age and performance categories - from the youngest (Juveniles, up to 9 years) to the highest age category from 70/75 years (Senior V).
