Art: the salt in the soup of life? Life: a mistake without music? We are all familiar with such beautiful sayings. At the same time, culture is currently under massive pressure to save money everywhere. Yet cultural funding really doesn't cost much in terms of overall budgets - and is an important investment in democracy and the future. Cultural initiatives are indispensable building blocks for a flourishing society: they bring people together and get them talking. With our discussion topic, we want to address the current situation and discuss how this awareness can be strengthened. One artist who has already dealt creatively with the topic of cultural funding and the protection of artists during the corona pandemic is the music cabaret artist Michael Krebs - he will be our guest this evening.

The Renitenztheater's new "Gesprächsstoff" series is dedicated to topics of the present and the future. Director Roland Mahr will be discussing these topics with philosopher Amrei Bahr, Junior Professor of Philosophy of Technology and Information at the University of Stuttgart. Other personalities are invited to each event and topic.
