The most fascinating films from Europe's largest nature film festival - on tour again in spring 2026!
Every year in September, the best films and most exciting documentaries of the year are honored at the Green Screen Nature Film Festival in Eckernförde, the most popular nature film event in Europe.

The well-known TV presenter and festival director Dirk Steffens and his crew then select the most fascinating films for the Green Screen Film Tour.

Dirk Steffens and the other jury members were really spoiled for choice with the variety of festival films submitted: "Our film tour program will once again show the best nature films at the highest international level. The selected films will also once again deal intensively with the pressing nature issues of wilderness conservation, biodiversity and climate change!"

The program selection: Only "excellent" nature documentaries
Which excellent nature films have made it into the program for the next film tour in 2026 will only be determined after the big festival in Eckernförde (10 to 14 Sept. 2025).

However, all of them will be nominated or awarded at the GREEN SCREEN Nature Film Festival 2025. Some of them will be re-edited or subtitled in German and will then appear in new splendour in the film tour program - in any case a fascinating potpourri of the most moving scenes from the new festival year. Quasi the "best of" nature films 2025 from all over the world in approx. 100 min. on the big screen!
