Guitar4mation is an international guitar quartet. Petr Saidl (Czech Republic), Michal Nagy (Poland), Campbell Diamond (Australia) and Martin Schwarz (Austria) bring their individual personal strengths and preferences to the group.
Guitar4mation breaks new ground - in search of unheard-of literature, concert programs beyond convention and an ensemble sound full of intensity and intimacy. Exclusively their own arrangements ensure the very special character of a concert with Guitar4mation, from very serious to very humorous. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from "stolen" piano music from the 19th century to contemporary works, from Latin American folklore to jazz and pop. The magic of the guitar sound is enhanced by the use of two eight-string guitars; all arrangements are organized democratically so that the lead voices are constantly changing. Guitar4mation has played in many European countries and has released several albums on Polski Nagrania Edition Warsaw, Kreuzberg Records Berlin and Gramola Vienna. The recordings include works by Frederic Chopin, Robert Schumann, Karol Szymanowski, Cole Porter, Astor Piazzolla, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and others.
