Despite their now rather mature age, the gentlemen are causing a musical sensation. Guru Guru belong to the Lab like a monkey belongs to a horse.
When band founder and world musician Mani Neumeier whirls the drumsticks, Zeus B. Held plugs in the synth, Peter Kühmstedt makes the bass strings vibrate and saxophonist Roland Schaeffer roars into the brass, many a prominent live act becomes a bland number. However, the band is notorious for its bouts of experimental madness: no one who has heard their underground hit "Elektro-Lurch" will ever be able to get it completely out of their head again.
