In Hear it Coming, the Swiss composer Andreas Eduardo Frank has developed a multimedia performance for ECLAT Festival Neue Musik Stuttgart that focuses on an intensive collaborative listening situation.

The sweet spot, i.e. the point of optimal hearing, does not exist in this piece. The loudspeaker system hovering above the heads, which Andreas Frank developed together with the Experimentalstudio, creates "acoustic beings and sound sculptures" based on the sounds and movements of the musicians and the audience, a constantly changing acoustic body that unfolds plastically in space, wanders around, deforms.
In Hear It Coming, the individual person moves out of the center of perception. The focus is on an intensive collective listening situation, a recalibration of the senses. And the six songs that structure the work unfold a post-humanist narrative about restlessness and vigilance
