Henkersfest

The Henkersfest has been a fixture of Stuttgart's summer of events for decades. The multi-day open-air event brings together visitors from Stuttgart and the region and offers a program with regional artists, local bands and live music of different styles.

Since 2025, the festival no longer takes place on the historic Henkersplatz, but on the neighboring Leonhardsplatz in front of the Leonhardskirche in Stuttgart's city center.

The stage program is complemented by a diverse gastronomic offering. Numerous stalls offer regional and international dishes, including tarte flambée, grilled dishes, Italian specialties and Asian cuisine as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The name of the festival refers to the history of the district, where the city's executioners worked in the Middle Ages. Today, the Hangmen's Festival stands for culture, music and encounters in the heart of Stuttgart's city center.
