The Henschel Quartet invites you to a special chamber music evening - with three works that unfold the full emotional and tonal range of the string quartet.
The ensemble opens the evening with Ludwig van Beethoven's cheerful yet profound String Quartet in B flat major op. 18/6 - a work full of elegance, wit and surprising expressiveness. This is followed by the atmospherically dense string quartet "Norfolk" by Richard Danielpour Swain, which delights with modern timbres and poetic intensity.
The evening concludes with the passionate String Quartet No. 6 in F minor op. 80 by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - a gripping work of great drama and inner movement.
An evening full of contrasts - from classical mastery to contemporary tonal language, interpreted at the highest level by the Henschel Quartet.
