With "immernie", Hi! Spencer make an album that doesn't look for clear answers. It is an album about enduring one's own ambivalence.

feelings are rarely unambiguous. Hope meets doubt, a spirit of optimism meets homesickness - and sometimes everything feels heavy and light at the same time. With "immernie", Hi! Spencer combine personal moments with universal stories. They tell of summers that always go. And of days that never come. Of sadness and euphoria. The band doesn't look for either or, but allows opposites to stand side by side. "immernie" is the realization that things end. And that this is precisely where their meaning lies.

Musically, Hi! Spencer translate this field of tension into songs that simultaneously push and drive. "immernie" is quietly loud, slowly fast and euphorically melancholic. Verses stretch out tensely, only to burst in the chorus. The band shows once again that indie, pop, rock and punk don't contradict each other, but rather push each other forward. Driving guitars, warm synths and great melodies combine to create songs that stick.

The artwork also picks up on this idea: The central motif is a burst bubble of chewing gum - a metaphor for heavy lightness. For all those things that seem endless and then suddenly fall apart. Playful and snotty, melancholic and final at the same time.

This is not one of those stories about a quick breakthrough. Hi! Spencer have grown like a bubble of chewing gum: slowly, steadily, but with pressure behind it. No hype, no shortcuts - just biting through, carrying on, staying power. From small basement clubs, where sweat drips from the ceiling, to the big stages of the country. All self-made, all step by step. And that's exactly why it lasts: because it's not inflated, but grown. "immernie" is the moment when nothing can be talked down - loud, dazzling and with force, Hi! Spencer make it clear: their years are far from over.

The band's songs now have millions of views on streaming portals. After sold-out club tours through Germany and Austria in 2025, the band has long been a welcome guest at the big festivals, including Hurricane, Deichbrand and Highfield.

"immernie" will be released on 21.08.2026 on the Merchcowboy Records label. For all those who want to hear the record live, zuendstoff Booking will be sending Hi! Spencer on a club tour throughout Germany in fall 2026.
