HOUSE OF CRINOLINE opens its doors in Stuttgart's Wagenhalle project space for a shimmering ball! The historical starting point of the performance is an unjustly unknown author and actress from the Romantic era: Sophie Albrecht (1756 - 1840). She campaigned for equal rights and the dissolution of rigid gender roles in feminist salons. We will declaim her texts, try on the fashion of her time, dare to make comparisons with the forms of expression of other marginalized groups and dance the ghosts of the old days off our bodies. We will sing about the victims of patriarchy, commemorate the authors who were never heard and ensure that we remain free! We share anger, sadness and joy about the future, the past and the present.

HOUSE OF CRINOLINE is a salon in the 21st century with music, performance, puppetry, literature and voguing. On three evenings, the Wagenhalle project space will be transformed into a post-patriarchal venue. Different performers will be guests on each evening. Every evening will be different. Come and slay!
