About Hozan Dîno
Hozan Dîno was born on September 4, 1969 in the Kurdish village of Xêwîsqerê near Erdexan. He discovered his passion for music at an early age. For political reasons, he had to abandon his teacher training and then devoted himself entirely to his artistic career.
His debut album "Lê Dayê" (1999) was his breakthrough. His music was quickly well received in the Kurdish diaspora and influenced an entire generation. To this day, he is considered one of the most important Kurdish singers of his time - appreciated for his voice, his authenticity and his cultural significance.
To this day, his music reflects Kurdish identity - powerful, full of emotion and timeless.
