Class books Readings for school classes with Patricia Thoma at the Literaturhaus Stuttgart
Comic workshop can also be booked for a school class: 10.30 - 11.30 a.m.
Life behind bars told by juvenile offenders: In this comic, young people who share the feeling of being ignored and abandoned by society have their say. But they
have a lot to tell us. About their strong emotional ties to their families. About false friends who want to be paid and the idea of freedom that begins in the mind. For the time after detention, they wish for a "reset". But memories cannot be erased - the vicious circle of domestic violence, dropping out of school, lack of prospects, addiction and crime is not so easy to break. The texts and pictures created by the young people themselves provide insights into their world of thought without losing sight of the victim's perspective. Patricia Thoma is a visual artist and picture book illustrator. Her work has been awarded numerous prizes and shown in international exhibitions.
