- FITZ Das Theater animierter Formen, Eberhardstr. 61, 70173 Stuttgart
With interr_options, Eva Krause celebrates the interruption. The solo piece transforms stumbling, faltering and falling out of rhythm into an invitation to pause, listen and start again. A headstrong character discovers the most banal and wildest timbres with subtle mischief and turns the body itself into music.
In interr_options, every movement becomes audible, every sound is produced live. Body percussion, dance and slapstick moments combine to create a poetic physical theater work that manages without language and is therefore open to many perceptions. The performance invites you to discover your own body as a source of expression, play and joy.
interr_options is a celebration of irritation - and a reminder that change lies precisely in interruption.
One small stumble - and everything can change
Eva Krause works at the interface of physical theater, dance and body percussion. In her artistic practice, she explores rhythm as movement, movement as sound and the body as an instrument in its own right. Her works arise from presence, spontaneity and close observation of the moment. Krause is interested in the unfinished, the fragile and in those moments when something gets out of step and new possibilities arise.
Trained in physical theater at the Accademia Dimitri and influenced by rhythmic research in Guinea and elsewhere, she develops an accessible, humorous and at the same time precise stage language. Her works manage without words and yet appeal to a multi-layered audience - cross-generational, inclusive and sensual. Krause's attitude is clear: art is created in the now, in direct contact between body, space and audience.
