Conversation with Paul Kirchhof, Moderated by Achim Dannecker
The world is in danger of falling apart. Far more people live in autocracies than in democracies. Human rights are being disregarded, and institutions based on the rule of law are being suspended or undermined. The European Union and the UN are reaching the limits of their ability to act. War defines the daily lives of many people and is gaining new destructive power through the use of drones. At the same time, political parties that advocate for the rule of law and human rights are losing support and influence. Our democratic constitutional state must be reimagined and vigorously upheld. Are there strategies to guide it toward a bright future? Paul Kirchhof, a renowned constitutional law expert and former judge of the Federal Constitutional Court, will address these questions.
An event organized by the Wirtschaftsclub im Literaturhaus e.V.
