Little Uli wants to be a pirate or the Pope, but she definitely doesn't want to fit into the stereotypical roles of her Bavarian hometown. After the death of her father, her mother gives her his "secret box". The contents suddenly change her view of her father, herself, her family and the society in which she grew up.
