Jaimi Faulkner Band & Axel Nagel

After two individual performances, the two musicians will crown the evening at the Laboratorium with a joint Australian-Swabian finale. A feast for friends of excellent guitar music and great songwriting!

The music of Australian singer-songwriter Jaimi Faulkner testifies to his distinctive feel for grooves that oscillate between Americana, rock and songwriter soul. The musical spectrum of the modern troubadour from Down Under ranges from beautiful ballads to powerful, groovy songs. He is accompanied by Eric Koslosky on bass and Cas Heim on drums. Jaimi's current album "Half of It", which he is presenting tonight, contains much of what characterizes his music: Excellent guitar playing, profound lyrics, concise songwriting and impressive vocals.
Jaimi has had a musical friendship with Axel Nagel (The Flowers, The Marvels, ex Opportunity...) for quite some time. Nagel also balances on soulful to folky paths and sings in his native language. Solo, the singer and guitarist sounds like a whole band with bass and percussion loops. The winner of the German Rock and Pop Award in the singer-songwriter category will bring his latest compositions to the Lab.
