Johann Sebastian Bach: "Johannes-Passion"

Location:
Stiftskirche Stuttgart, Stiftsstraße 12, 70182 Stuttgart

With their performance of Bach's "St. John Passion BWV 245", the Stuttgart Hymnus Choirboys are part of a long tradition. Like the other great passions by Johann Sebastian Bach, this work has always been part of the core repertoire of German boys' choirs and exudes an unbroken fascination when performed with young voices. On Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 5 pm, the Stuttgart Hymnus Choir Boys will perform the work under the direction of Roderich Kreile in the Stiftskirche Stuttgart. The boys' choir will be accompanied by the orchestra for early music, Handel's Company, which stands for historically informed performance practice. The soloists are Alice Fuder (soprano), Marion Eckstein (alto), Martin Lattke (tenor), Christoph Schweizer (bass) and Johannes Held (bass).
