KÄRBHOLZ: Storm is brewing
...When the storm shatters the silence...
Three years have passed since the double release of Chapter 10: Wild Eyes and Chapter 11: Barricades. Three years in which the world did not stand still and the band used the time to brew a whirlwind that now breaks out with full force: "Sturm zieh auf".
An atmospheric exchange of energy
A storm is more than just wind. It is a raw, uncontrollable force. It brings destruction, yes - but it creates the absolutely necessary space for something new. It is the atmospheric exchange of energy that sweeps away the old to make room for change. Kärbholz set precisely this moment of transformation to music on their new album.
With 13 tracks full of passion and emotion, the band captures the entire spectrum of a storm: from the oppressive "calm before" to the fear and restlessness to the boundless freedom that arises when the pressure eases.
Authentic, edgy, uncompromising
"Sturm zieh auf" doesn't care about conventions or compatibility. The album is nourished by the harder styles of the band's history and creates a self-contained cosmos that doesn't want to please at any price - and perhaps that's why it's so deeply moving. It is a work for those who are prepared to question their listening habits.
No whining, no finger-pointing: Kärbholz do not denounce external circumstances.
The focus is on the self: it's about the power of the individual to defy the given.
Unbridled positivity: In the midst of chaos, the band finds happiness in the small, essential things in life.
The "what for" determines the "how"
Loosely based on Nietzsche, the album conveys a clear message: "If I know a why, then I can endure almost any how." "Sturm zieh auf" is the soundtrack for this path. It is the musical manifestation of resilience - an invitation to face the storm, enjoy it and emerge from it stronger.
Kärbholz are back. Louder, harder and more reflective than ever before.
The evening is opened by THE GREEN GOBLINS - Celtic folk'n'roll with plenty of electricity under their fingernails.
The Green Goblins take Irish classics, run them through the amplifier and spit them out again as danceable wrecking balls. They add their own anthems between Celtic rock, folk punk and wild pub grooves - sometimes epic, sometimes dirty, but always authentic. They don't fit into pigeonholes, at most into a Guinness glass with a frothy top.
Launched in 2017 as a street music trio in the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and France, THE GREEN GOBLINS quickly gained a reputation as a rousing live band and won the "Rhythm in the Open Air" competition in Emmendingen in the same year they were founded. Today, the band successfully tours Switzerland, southern Germany and Alsace with up to 50 shows a year - from cramped pubs to city festivals and festival stages.
Musically, the five border crossers mix fiddle, electric guitar and a powerful rock rhythm section to create an untamed Celtic folk'n'roll that makes even the last dance grouches nervous. Anyone still sitting there has either completely lost their soul or the rhythm.
After the single "Roll On" and its first official music video in 2024, THE GREEN GOBLINS followed up with the single "Tally Ho!" in 2025 and the next smash hit "Turn It Around" in 2026 - each with their own energetic video clips. At the same time, the band is working on a new studio album that will capture the sound they have tried out live for the first time in full broadside on record.
THE GREEN GOBLINS are not for romantics, but for everyone who wants to party and live life to the full.
