At “zwischen/miete,” shared apartments in Stuttgart are transformed into a reading stage for one evening. In September, Louise K. Böhm will be our guest, presenting her debut novel “Kaskaden.” Jojo is just starting her master’s program in molecular biology. But the feeling of not belonging at the university continues to haunt her this semester as well. Then she receives an unexpected sign of life from her former best friend, and suddenly it all comes flooding back: the gray concrete block where they grew up, Yara, with whom she did everything—but who then disappeared from one day to the next. Amid all this emotional turmoil, it doesn’t help at all that her new tutor is way too nice to her—or does it? Louise K. Böhm, born in Berlin in 2000, is an author and content creator who studied creative writing, cultural journalism, and cultural policy in Hildesheim.
