Katherine Priddy

Katherine Priddy has announced the release of her third album These Frightening Machines for March 2026 via Cooking Vinyl. The new record follows Priddy's highly acclaimed debut The Eternal Rocks Beneath, as well as her second album The Pendulum Swing, which firmly established her as one of the most exciting artists on the contemporary British music scene.

Received with great acclaim by the press, many described the work as one of the albums of the year. With her momentum showing no signs of slowing down, the release of These Frightening Machines should see her star rise even further.

Priddy has played sold-out headline tours and supported world-class artists with her haunting vocals and distinctive finger-picking guitar style. She recently co-wrote and released two songs with Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and appeared on the legendary BBC TV show Later with Jools Holland.

The most sonically diverse work of her career, the songs on Priddy's new album span a wide emotional arc, exploring what it means to keep going when everything threatens to fall apart, to hold on to connections in a world that can be divisive, and to figure out where we stand in the machines and systems of which we are a part.

Following the success of her first two singles "Matches", a powerful feminist anthem, and "Frightening Machines", a deeply emotional second track, Priddy has now shared a third preview from These Frightening Machines: the new single "Hurricane" - an expansion of her sound into a sensual groove with a cautionary tale about dangerous love.
