After the summer break, the chain carousel at the Laboratorium is picking up speed again - and is bringing two acts to the stage for the start of the season that play with language, sound and emotion in very different ways.
The evening will be opened by Gollmer & Schüll, a duo whose musical roots lie somewhere between folk and blues - and who charmingly showcase dialect and the German language. With a mixture of casual intimacy and a love of melody, the two musicians create an atmosphere that hovers somewhere between a living room concert and a campfire jam session. Their music sounds as if Jack Johnson, Kings of Convenience, Georg Danzer and Wolle Kriwanek had arranged to make music together - relaxed, honest and with a wink.
The second part of the evening is provided by Tanjusch & Bande. After having already touched audiences as a solo artist before the summer break, Stuttgart-based Tanjusch is now returning to the Lab stage with her band. Supported by guitar, bass, saxophone and keys, her songs once again unfold a new depth and breadth of sound. Her songs - poetic, playful and full of feeling - tell of streets, ferries and window sills, of being human in all its nuances. Sometimes in German, sometimes in fantasy language - but always straight from the heart.
