"I want to share my love of classical music. That is my message," says Khatia Buniatishvili. And there is probably no other pianist at the moment who shows her emotionality so openly: she conducts along, sways to the rhythm, lets pain and joy appear on her face as a mirror of her inner emotions and thus gets close to her audience. Her concerts are a total work of art, her interpretations absolutely individual, because freedom is the highest good for the Georgian-French pianist. This also includes the freedom not to have to commit to concert programs years in advance, which may then no longer play a role in the current phase of her life.
