Jane and Michael don't think much of tidy children's rooms. Nor do they think much of their nanny, who leaves the Banks family and their frolicking children in a hurry. Jane and Michael write their own petition: they dream of the most fantastic nanny that children could ever wish for - and so a young lady called Mary Poppins lands on their doorstep with an umbrella.
