Together with 16 young people, backsteinhaus produktion gets to the bottom of stagnation, fears of the future and coping strategies. The 16 young people are also performers, dramaturges, stage designers and musicians. In cooperation with the Junge Oper im Nord.

What would it feel like if nothing more emerged in the future, if the now carried nothing and what was over determined everything? And what would happen if things simply didn't go on as before? If the fear suddenly became quite compelling or the gray feeling became very strong?

The situation would be dramatic. So dramatic that 16 young adults would have to take over the opera. The opera as an arena for negotiating resistance or social upheaval. As an arena for great emotions and as a space for existential shared endurance.

Wrapped in blankets, the 16 experts in active crisis management retreat there. They form an organism, a body, a collective self and together activate the self-healing powers of a generation, while constantly struggling with the inside and negotiating with the outside. For what would an opera be without hope?

We are delighted to be able to offer a live audio description with a stage tour and tactile guide for the performances on June 5 & 6 and July 11 & 12.
Peter Luttringer and Simon Kubat have worked with the production team to translate the actions on stage into speech so that KLARKOMMEN can also be experienced by people with little or no sight through the descriptive audio description.
