Komponiert für die Ewigkeit

Location:
Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle, Berliner Platz 1-3, 70174 Stuttgart

What if music history could not only be heard, but experienced? If composers of past centuries left us not only their works, but also their thoughts - in the middle of the concert hall? In "Composed for Eternity", sound and history merge to create an extraordinary experience. Four composers - four journeys through time. Two of them appear to the audience in a new way: Felix Mendelssohn and George Frideric Handel appear as virtual avatars in scenically designed projections - reflecting, narrating, inspiring. The opening with Mozart's Symphony No. 13, which he wrote at the tender age of 15, is followed by Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto - one of the most beautiful solo concertos of the 19th century. It will be performed by Niklas Liepe, winner of the Opus Klassik prize and one of the most innovative violinists of his generation. With George Frideric Handel's Water Music, the concert plunges into the London of the early 18th century. The concert will conclude with Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major - his bold debut in the symphonic genre. Raphael Merlin, conductor, artistic director and chief conductor of the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and former cellist of the multi-award-winning Quatuor Ébène, will conduct the concert.
