25 years ago, the two Stuttgart Philharmonic musicians Stefan Balle and Bernhard Lörcher founded the Philharmonic Piano Trio together with pianist Andreas Kersten, and they still play in the original line-up. Reason enough to celebrate this anniversary with a program typical of this ensemble. Starting with Beethoven's ambitious first work for this genre, through two romantic piano trio compositions by Clara and Robert Schumann to Brahms' large and complex C major trio - an afternoon of music from the Romantic century.
